/ 01AboutAn introduction

I make things on the web, and quiet pictures in between.

I am a Toronto-based full-stack software engineer with roughly fifteen years of practice. My day job is shipping production web software; my evenings are for writing about it.

The essays here are written for the engineer next to me at the table — practical first, opinionated second, and personal third — covering the web platform, developer tools, automation and the messy parts of building anything that lasts.

The photographs are the breathing room. Mostly Canon EOS R with a 35mm lens, and a Ricoh GR IIIx when the coat needs to be lighter.
